I was born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley. My wife Cheryl and I have been married 34 years and have one son Ian.  I have attended Wenatchee Valley College and moved to the Puget Sound area to attend South Seattle Culinary Arts College to further my education and career goals. After 14+ years with Anthony’s Homeport Restaurants, our family moved back to East Wenatchee in 2004.

We purchased and currently work together operating a true vintage area land mark,

The Cottage Inn Restaurant.  Through continuous hard work, dedication, sound decision making and wise business decisions we have ensured a successful business. We are thankful to run a business in the Wenatchee Valley.

I proudly serve on the Board of the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce, with a superb group of dynamic people.  I also sit on the Board of Directors for the Washington Restaurant / Lodging Association, where I serve on the government affairs committee. I am also involved with the Wenatchee Valley College development committee working on establishing a fully accredited culinary program in our area with other local and state business owners and leaders.  These positions are volunteer; they are about serving and giving back to my community and state.

As your Douglas County Commissioner I will:

*Maintain public safety, our local law enforcement and first responders need our

  continued support.

*Assure fiscal responsibility and listen to your needs.  We work for you, not the other

  way around.

*Support sound community development while preserving the individual’s property

  rights.

*Lend support to our public education system in anyway we can.

*Put the “Service” back in public service. It’s not about what I want; it’s about what

you want and need.  From day one we will have an open door policy.

*Strengthen the relationships between County agencies and the Builders, Developers and

Realtors so as to move forward with the properly managed growth needed to help

Douglas County to become a prosperous and thriving community.
