From The Wenatchee Worlds Safety Valve:

I believe in Sutton

Dan Sutton is running for Douglas County Commissioner in the first district, a position that is opened by the retirement of an incumbent commissioner. Dan is willing and wanting to help make a difference for the betterment of the citizens of Douglas County. Dan presently sits on the board of directors for the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce, whose objective is to enhance the greater Wenatchee area.

If elected, Dan wants to protect the community by supporting the sheriff’s department, ensure fiscal responsibility, support public education and put “service” back into Douglas County. He also plans to repair the relationships between the county agencies and the builders, developers and real estate agents so Douglas County can move forward with the proper growth management needed to help it become the jewel of the valley.

Dan owns the Cottage Inn Restaurant. He runs a very good business. I have observed his management style as a repeating customer. He is extremely organized and engaged to make sure his customers are receiving not just a great meal, but a positive experience. His service staff are treated as family and make their customers feel like not just customers, but friends. Dan’s approach to his business will be similar to his approach as a Douglas County commissioner.

I do not live in Douglas County. My businesses — Valley Tractor, Western Ranch Buildings and Rent Me Storage — all reside in Douglas County, as well as my property developments Baker Flat Industrial Park, North Baker Flat Industrial Park, Stoneridge and Ambercrest. I believe in Douglas County and I believe in Dan Sutton.

Please vote for Dan Sutton.

Sutton for Douglas County

We support Dan Sutton for the position of Douglas County commissioner District 1, for many reasons. He’s a hardworking American family man, as well as a reliable businessman who puts his country and community first. His high business ethics are applied to every task he undertakes. He’s honest, thoughtful and takes an intelligent approach to problem solving that can be applied to so many conditions, current and in the future, within our growing county. He has a great can-do personality and has the energy and smarts to handle the complexities of our county and many varied businesses, as well as our agricultural business future.

We’re confident he will represent us all very well and protect our county’s fiduciary responsibilities.

Sutton for Douglas County

We are writing this letter of recommendation for Dan Sutton who is running for Douglas County commissioner, District 1. Dan has experience with owning and operating a successful small business (Cottage Inn Restaurant) for many years, along with serving on several key community services, board of directors of Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce, Washington State Restaurant/Lodging Association and Wenatchee Valley College Development Committee, working on establishing a fully accredited culinary program.

All of these commitments and involvements give Dan a great focus on crucial business issues. If elected, Dan intends to support the sheriff’s department, our public education and to streamline the process with Douglas County agencies in working with builders and developers with an emphasis on growth management.

Dan’s qualifications and his astute awareness make him the best choice to better and enrich Douglas County government.
